The reason why delaying aid to Ukraine is a big deal is because it has two devastatingly severe answers. The first answer is that it puts a United States Democratic ally country at risk of losing lives as they are currently in a hot war with Russia, it weakens President Zelenskiy’s stance in fighting against the Russian army, because frankly without the backing of American firepower, Russia moves on with confidence, and lastly weakening Ukraine’s ability to negotiate from a position of strength.
The second answer to why delaying aid to Ukraine was a big deal is simply, It was done purely to aid President Trump’s reelection campaign. President Trump held the money in return for an announcement of a criminal investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden. One of which has emerged as a political rival and potential Presenditial candidate for the 2020 elections in which Joe Biden will rival Donald Trump.
No actual investigation was to take place, just the announcement of one. Simply put, this is an abuse of power by the most powerful man and office in the entire world. If the President is allowed to use taxpayer money to benefit himself than we are in a world of trouble. President Trump was entrusted by the America people to safeguard their lives and uphold the constitution as well as to progress and ensure their prosperity.
Simply put, he has broken the trust between him and American people. Below is an excerpt from an article highlighting the importance of this betrayal. Follow the link below to read the full article from its original source.
